John Goldasich, CFE

Managing Partner

John is Montclair’s Managing Partner, and has spent more than 20 years advising founders, emerging consumer brands, and private equity groups on mergers, acquisitions, raising capital and strategic growth.

Before founding Montclair, John was a Managing Director in the Consumer Group at Lazard, where he led the firm’s global Restaurant, Franchising, and Consumer Services practices. Prior to Lazard, he was a Partner at Arlington Capital Advisors and began his career in capital markets and structured finance at AmSouth (now Regions Securities).

John holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Lipscomb University and a master’s degree in Finance from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. He currently serves on the boards of the Alabama Golf Association and Virentes Partners Group.

Outside the office, John enjoys traveling with his family, attending the activities of his four children, being outdoors and supporting entrepreneurs who are building what’s next. John holds the Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) designation.

Gavin McKinney, CPA

Partner

Gavin is a Partner and Managing Director at Montclair with over 13 years of experience in investment banking, finance, and accounting. He works closely with founders and management teams of high-growth consumer brands on mergers, acquisitions and strategic finance initiatives.

Before Montclair, Gavin founded Juniper Consulting, a CFO advisory firm focused on emerging consumer businesses. Earlier, he spent nearly a decade at Arlington Capital Advisors advising middle-market companies on M&A and capital raising. He began his career at Deloitte in the firm’s audit and valuation practices.

Gavin is a licensed CPA and holds a B.S. in Accounting from Louisiana Tech University and a Master’s in Professional Accountancy from the University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business, where he graduated at the top of his class.

Outside of work, Gavin enjoys time with his wife and their two children, traveling and helping brands turn vision into value.

Dylan Digmon, CFA

Vice President

Dylan is a Vice President at Montclair with over 9 years of investment banking and finance experience. Prior to joining Montclair, Dylan was a Vice President at Arlington Capital Advisors, where he advised middle market consumer businesses on M&A and capital raises. Before Arlington, Mr. Digmon was an Investment Banking Associate at Harris Williams. Dylan began his career in the investment banking group at BBVA. Dylan is a CFA and holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Auburn and an MBA from UNC Chapel Hill.

Trent Tolbert

Analyst

Trent is an Investment Banking Analyst at The Montclair Group. He brings over 3 years of experience to the role, combining deep analytical skills with a strong foundation in client service and strategic insight. Trent previously worked as an Associate Investment Consultant with Highland Associates where he advised healthcare clients on strategic growth, valuation, and capital allocation decisions. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Auburn University.
